Raise your pinky finger if you’re guilty of giving people, more chances than you should have.
And if the pinky fingers are not enough for you, feel free to raise your pinky toes too!
You know what the problem is?
Many of us grow up experiencing love and hate exist together. Our baby brains, adapt to the idea that though we may hate certain people based on how they treat us, but that’s still no reason to not keep loving them.
I KNOW. What were we thinking!
We weren’t. We perhaps adopted the idea before we had the ability to think better.
There can be different intensities to love, and just because you love people, doesn’t mean you need to love them all in the same way. It also doesn’t mean that you need to be a martyr, to prove your love.
Are you a spare? Because if not, you don’t have to act like one, Potato.
And you know what’s NOT love? An act that cares for someone else but pains you in the process.
That’s INJUSTICE to yourself.
CAN WE PLEASE STOP STEALING FROM OURSELVES, ALREADY?
Love, as I’ve come to find, doesn’t replace. Love adds, love shares.
By giving love to another in a way that starves you at the same time, do you increase the love in the world, or do you merely replace it?
Question for your potatomind:
Where do you struggle in finding a balance between loving yourself and another?
